How to sell anything... as taught by your sworn enemy
Did you realise you are being sold to every moment of your life... and you're often a repeat customer.

You know who’s really good at selling?
Think about this:
You want to be more diligent with your prayers.
Fajr time comes and you tell yourself you'll just close your eyes for five minutes. Five minutes turns into 2 hours.
Dhuhr time comes and you tell yourself I'll finish this work I'm doing then I'll pray. But the work takes longer than you think.
It's time for Asr but you reckon a few more YouTube shorts won't hurt…
And the days and weeks go on like this.
It's the same for reciting the Quran or any number of deeds you keep missing out on.
Shaytan wants you to not pray. So he comes with a new excuse for why you shouldn't pray.
Well… we call it an excuse but from your sworn enemy’s perspective it’s really an offer…
And you’d think after doing it over and over again you’d simply say no to his offer.
Heard that one before, Iblees. Won't work on me this time!
But he makes the same offer over and over again. And human beings are his repeat customers.
But look closer.
The offer never changes: don't pray.
But the packaging changes every time. The wording. The reasoning.
The persuasion.
If one doesn't work he tries another. Multiple times a day in fact.
Do people ever get tired of his offer? No.
Because it feels new every time.
So why would your customers get tired of your offers?
Why would your subscribers get tired of your offers?
Why would your donors get tired of being asked to donate? Why would your children get tired of your instructions? Your students? Employees?
If it works for selling bad offers it certainly works for good ones. Why feel shy about it?
I think we have this fear in life that our offers aren't good enough or that people will get tired of hearing about them.
So we switch the offer… try something new we saw online or drop it for something else entirely.
Or we simply give up.
When in reality you just need to keep selling the same offer… just in different ways depending on your audience.
Some people respond to benefits—what do I get out of it?
Others respond to fear—what harm will come if I don't take this offer?
And so on… you just need to try different ways to make the same offer that speaks to the individuals you're selling to.
And you need to repeat your offer every day: caring through consistency.
Shaytan is really good at a very specific and powerful selling technique in his offers. One that taps into a strong human trait.
Ask me in reply to this email and I'll tell you what it is.
As proactive Muslims we all have something to sell.
Not just products or services—though this should be there too.
But we all sell ideas.
A worthy cause. A moral or ethic to uphold.
And if those ideas are worthwhile why would we ever stop selling them?
