Proactive Muslim Minute: network for your goals
How to make massive goals easier by knowing the right people.
🧠 How to be proactive:
Make the masjid a core part of your networking as a Proactive Muslim.
Some questions to ask yourself:
Do I attend every day?
Do I know the other worshippers well?
How well do I know the imam?
How regularly do I contribute?
Have I ever volunteered to clean the masjid?
How often do I take someone to the masjid?
💡 Proactive Muslim Minute:
Have you heard people say “it’s about who you know”?
Effective networking is about building real relationships with people who can help you reach greater heights than you ever could alone.
Every goal will involve others in some way. The bigger the goal the more people you will need to know.
But it takes time to build meaningful relationships.
Let’s imagine your goal is to pioneer a revolutionary innovation in public transport. You’ll need contacts in government positions who can get you the contracts to build your solution.
You’ll also need to build relationships with engineers, suppliers of raw materials and so on.
You might not yet be at the level to access certain people. And you’ll need plenty of opportunities to prove yourself as a dependable and trustworthy person in your field.
But because you set the goal today you can look ahead and set targets for the relationships you need to build over time.
This is true for any goal.
Big goals and small goals—you have to think about who you need to know to help achieve your goal.
Start building relationships regardless of where you’re starting from.
Building relationships early will also help you learn skills, get valuable advice from people in your field and open up opportunities you never would have otherwise had.
And remember:
You're just one goal away…
