Remember when you were a kid and your younger sibling wanted to play your video games?
So you gave them an unplugged controller.
And they would think they are controlling the game but no matter how hard they pressed the buttons it wouldn't affect the game at all.
You got to play your game and your sibling was happy thinking they're playing too.
This is how I feel about elections. Or… in most cases… protests.
Or using labels like “Islamophobia".
And just like the video game we aren't really playing… no matter how hard we try.
The umbrella term I would use is “victim Olympics”.
And we all attach a negative connotation to this term… so why do still we play?
It's a rigged game.
Jews. Gays. Transformers.
It's their game.
It has nothing to do with the legitimacy of their claims… it's just rigged in their favour to act like victims.
And if anyone wants to play too… they'll just make you feel like you're playing… just like the kid with the unplugged controller.
They'll even let you have your own labels like “Islamophobia” to make you feel like you're playing.
As Muslims…
It's neither in our favour to act like victims nor is it effective for achieving our goals in Islam.
We were never successful being victims.
And we never will be.
As a proactive Muslim you have to rig your own game.
You have to plug in and take control of your life.
It starts with knowing what game you want to play (your life's plan).
Then by getting real good at playing the game (goal setting, deep work, etc).
And making sure you have the advantage (organisational structure, networking).
It's all here in this newsletter.
And I'm also working on video courses and live workshops on these topics.
But that's why you're a subscriber… isn't it?
P.S.
Are you sick of feeling like a victim?
Do you agree Muslim voices online and offline are coming from a victim mentality?
If so… I literally write this newsletter for you.
Don't waste this opportunity to take an action.
Forward, share, reply, subscribe. Anything.
But do something right now.
